John Covert; also including receipt, 17 June 1828, of the Rev. John M. Ervin for preaching two days near Kingstree; bill, 5 May 1835, for the medical services of Dr. Thomas D. Singleton for medical services, 1832-1834, to the children of John L. McClary; manuscripts, 6 June and 7 Sept. 1835, re expenses for jailing two slaves; manuscript, 8 Mar. 1849, agreement between Dr. William S. Boyd and William Belser & Co. for the hire of twenty-four slaves of Boyd's for work on the Charlotte and S. C. Railroad; and letter, 23 Nov. 1858, J. W. Ambrose & Co., to W. S. Boyd, supplying price for wagons.
